BBC North are looking for a new Office / Production Runner Apprentice to work in the Children’s CBeebies department.

As well as working towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media at Level 3, in your role you will provide support to their television production and interactive teams. This will include helping set up film shoots, contributing your programme ideas, buying and sourcing props and supporting teams in studio and on location duties and some administrative tasks.

You’ll need great creativity and interpersonal skills and be passionate about starting your career within television. You’ll need to be 18 or over and from the Greater Manchester area, and you can apply even if you don’t have A-C in GCSE English/Maths, but you’ll need to be able to work to this level. You are however not eligible to apply if you’re working towards a Level 4 Apprenticeship, a foundation degree or a degree.

BBC North are also looking for two new Runner Apprentice’s in the interactive team at the Children’s CBeebies department.

As well as working towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Interactive Media at Level 3, you will be contributing to BBC Children’s web pages, manipulating images for the website, working on the department’s Content Management System, video and audio editing, writing promos, engaging with audiences through social media and collating audience feedback.

This role would be ideal for anyone with an interest or any experience in web site production or image manipulation software (such as Photoshop), and with an awareness of the factors that affect web usability. You’ll need to be 18 or over and from the Greater Manchester area, and you can apply even if you don’t have A-C in GCSE English/Maths, but you’ll need to be able to work to this level. You are however not eligible to apply if you’re working towards a Level 4 Apprenticeship, a foundation degree or a degree.
