Talent Assistant NCS Run the Show

Ever wondered what it’s like to be up close and personal with the stars? What do they do before a show? What do they eat? Are they even human?! We caught up with Jeni Saint, YES Live Talent Manager, who assures us that they celebs are no different than you or I. But if your fascination is still fluttering, Run the Show is offering one lucky NCS grad a chance to be the Talent Assistant for YES Live 2016! Get the scoop on what the Talent Assistant will take on during the show and how this is an opportunity of a lifetime!

How will the Talent Assistant support you during YES Live?

The Talent Assistant for YES Live will need to keep track of what celeb needs to be where and when! They’ll need to be across the schedule for the day and also be at hand to help deal with artist requests and requirements. They will also need to liaise with the production runners in case any timings change and artists’ schedules need to be updated.

What kind of qualities do you look for in a Talent Assistant?

Friendly, bright and a confident demeanor with the ability to remain calm even in a stressful environment.

What are the most exciting aspects of running a show?

Being backstage and getting the inside view of how a show comes together. It's awesome to witness the teamwork that goes on behind the scenes of an event. The people out in the front have no idea, and that’s the way it should be!

What will the Talent Assistant gain from this experience?

The Talent Assistant will gain a rare inside view of how the talent machine runs behind the scenes. They will also come to realise, if they don’t know already, that celebrities and VIPs are just the same as the rest of us, but with shinier costumes and an amazing ability to smile for the camera!

What are you looking forward to most about YES Live?

Finding out who our Social Stars Award winners are! Feeling the energy of 3000+ people in one place as we celebrate the brilliant achievements of NCS participants and pulling a few dance moves front-of-house when Tinie takes to the stage!

Thanks Jeni! If you feel up to the exciting challenge, go and apply to Run the Show!
