She’s a multi-award winning global businesswoman, Founder and CEO of InspirEngage, and a professional speaker. You might recognise her from BBC’s hit show ‘The Apprentice’ where she made it to week 10 (out of 12)! But it all started at the early age of 13 when Melody Hossaini first began inspiring young people to take action.
Melody’s story and life experiences have played a huge part in getting her to where she is now. After her family fled war-torn Iran, they sought refuge in Sweden. Melody grew up in the UK and that’s when she developed a passion to inspire young people to engage fully with the world around them. At 13, she became a Co-Founder of the UK Youth Parliament where she spent 10 years volunteering and supporting young people to “be the change they want to see”. As if that’s not impressive enough, she became the first female (and ethnic minority citizen) to be elected Chair of its Board of Trustees!
What’s more, we have exciting news to share. Some of you NCS grads may’ve been lucky enough to meet Melody during week two of the programme where they delivered InspirEngage Bootcamps on how to turn your social action into a social enterprise, but for those who didn’t, you still might get the chance if you live in the West or South West of England! Melody will be visiting select schools over the next couple of weeks for her speaking tour in partnership with NCS – The Success Tour. We know how stressful this time of year can be for you, and so does Melody! Her snazzy workshop will prep you for exam success using her easy-to-use revision techniques. Watch this video for a sneak peek! She’ll also share helpful tips on ways to maximise career success (with some encouraging personal stories) and give fun interactive exercises that’ll both inspire and equip you with cool ideas to put into action!
Like NCS, Melody believes young people have the power to make an impact on the world. To read more about Melody Hossaini and all her work, visit her website here or get in touch: info@inspirEngage.com.
