These amazingly inspirational films will help you get your revision motivation on track!

Given the average human attention span is now 8 seconds – less than a goldfish – it’s really important that you...whoa, a giraffe!

Ahem, where were we? If you’re stressing about exams, sometimes all you need is a box of popcorn and a motivational film for that much-needed chill-out time. So, we’ve hand-picked a few of our favourite flicks to help heal that exam stress. Check ‘em out!

The Karate Kid

All you gotta do is wax on, wax off and you’ll ace your exams. Okay not really, but it did work for Daniel. This classic shows the power of unconventional learning – we tell you, Miyagi was on to something. This one’s perfect when you’re in need of a bit of mid-revision zen. There’s always the 2010 remake as well, but we suggest sticking with the original. Always stick with the original...

Good Will Hunting

Ah, the film that made the careers of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck (now formally known as Batman). When one professor uncovers the brilliant mind of a young man with a tough upbringing, the newly recognised genius starts to realise there’s a different path he can take for a better future. If you haven’t seen this film yet, now’s the time!

Matilda

Matilda follows a bright young girl who couldn’t be more different than her family, especially as she develops a gift where she can move things with her mind. Not only will this film give you a whole new outlook on education, it’ll also make you appreciate the fact you don’t have a Miss Trunchbull teaching your class.

Dead Poets Society

John Keating, an English teacher, inspires his students through his love of poetry. The students begin to admire his unconventional ways of teaching and become inspired to pursue their own dreams. This is one of Robin Williams’ best film roles, so it’s essential viewing!

School of Rock

If you need a break and a good laugh, Jack Black will help you achieve that (and you know, Jack Black’s a double-rhyme – English revision sorted). A musician poses as a substitute teacher at an elite elementary school and gives his students a lesson on rock ‘n’ roll 101. Plenty of inspiration to get you pumped and ready to conquer the last of that revision!
