It'll be a summer to remember

NCS Ambassadors

We’re lucky to have some incredibly talented NCS ambassadors and friends who are doing amazing things this summer. From Glastonbury to SBTV’s Summer Cookout and a little thing called Rio 2016, there’s no doubt our NCS friends have a busy and exciting few months ahead of them!

It’s going to be a summer filled with festivals, gigs and brand new tunes. The likes of Jess Glynne, (NCS Music Ambassador, no less), Tinie Tempah, Izzy Bizu and Craig David will be keeping themselves busy; catch ALL OF THEM at the T in the Park Festival (7-10 of July) in Scotland. If that’s not enough, Jess, Tinie and Craig will appear at V Festival in Chelmsford (20-21 August). Want some more Craig David? (come on, who doesn’t...). Check him out at Kendal Calling (28 June-31 July).

‘White Tiger’ singer Izzy Bizu is unstoppable! She’s even performed the soundtrack to the BBC’s Euro 2016 with her modern take of Edith Piaf’s classic French song La Foule. Check her out at Longitude Festival (15-17 July) and Leopallooza Festival (29-31July) in Ireland and Cornwall. And of course, we can’t forget to mention one of the most anticipated music festivals of the summer… Glastonbury (22-26 June). Jess Glynne and Izzy Bizu will share the stage with some of the biggest names in music! If you were lucky enough to snag tickets this year, we have to admit we’re a bit envious...

What about the tunes? Tinie Tempah recently released a new track titled ‘Mamacita’ (featuring Wizkid) from his upcoming album Youth. It’s set to release 16 September 2016 but you can pre-order it today!

That’s the music – what’s the sports schedule? Well, NCS Ambassador Louis Smith is training for the biggest sporting event of the year! Sorry, Euros… The final line-ups will be announced on 12 July but something tells us this Olympic hopeful is a shoo-in for Rio. The pommel horse is Louis’ strongest event, which earned him a bronze at the 2008 Olympics and a silver in 2012, so Rio is his chance to go for the gold. Make sure to tune in and cheer him on!

As we kinda mentioned, another NCS supporter, Jamal Edwards, is getting ready for the big SBTV Summer Cookout on 26 June. There’s going to be a beach stage, some mouthwatering BBQ from independent food vendors and amazing performers to wow the crowd! The line-up includes…(drum roll)... Suli Breaks! The spoken word artist is an NCS great. Remember last summer?
