Innovate with NCS
  • What?

NCS Innovation has been established to allow NCS Trust and partners to challenge, learn, and improve the way NCS services are designed and delivered in order to achieve NCS's objectives of greater social cohesion, social mobility, and social engagement. We do this by piloting ideas that seek to improve NCS in five key areas:

    - Growth
    - Reach and inclusion
    - Impact
    - Quality
    - Value for money

  • How?

We run formal procurements for suppliers to pitch Innovation pilots in specific NCS priority areas.

NCS Innovation is open to expressions of interest from any organisation, inside or outside of our current delivery network, that demonstrates their expertise and capability to deliver with NCS.

The Innovation Programme Team are available throughout the year to provide advice and consultation to anyone interested in NCS Innovation.

The amount of money available for NCS Innovation will be set annually as part of our agreement with Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS), and the size of projects funded will vary based on the expected scale of impact.

    NCS and The Scouts Association

NCS and The Scouts Association will be working in partnership to achieve their shared ambition of helping young people be prepared for the future, celebrate difference and develop crucial life skills. It is a partnership designed to co-design and pilot ideas through NCS's Innovation Programme that will enable even more young people to realise, and achieve, their potential. Chief Scout, Bear Grylls, will also join the newly formed NCS Patrons board, which is chaired by former PM David Cameron.
