The NCS Guide to June
Summer may be just around the corner, but if you’ve had enough of the heat wave over the last few weeks we’ve got some great excuses for you to spend some me-time on the sofa.
From feel-good inducing makeover shows to betrayal and murder, Netflix is jam-packed with treats to binge watch this month.
• The Staircase (8 June)
Fans of Making a Murderer and The Keepers will be enthralled with this 8-part documentary following the trial of Michael Peterson, a writer accused of murdering his wife, who was found dead at the bottom of their staircase.
• Sense8 Finale Episode (8 June)
Keep calm. It’s finally here – the long-anticipated season finale! And the best bit? It’s a whopping two hours long. Settle in, folks. It’s gonna be big.
• Queer Eye Season 2 (15 June)
Following the huge success of season one, the Fab 5 are back for round two with more makeovers, tears and hilarity – we are so ready.
• Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2 (22 June)
After clearing his name, Luke Cage is a celebrity on the streets, with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But of course, a formidable foe is ready to stir up some trouble.
• Derren Brown: Miracle (22 June)
Everyone’s favourite illusionist is back showing off his skills this month by debunking the concept of ‘faith-healing’, along with fear, pain and disbelief. Prepare to be stunned (and slightly confused)!
• Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (6 June)
Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt are reunited in the latest dino-installment. Three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to the island to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano about to erupt.
• Ocean’s 8 (18 June)
Sandra Bullock heads up an all-star cast featuring Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter in this hilarious new heist movie.
