Seaside Social Action

Anonymous (not verified) 24/07/2014

This is an opportunity to join an established organisation in a leadership role, learn new skills and lead other young people in their development and social action opportunities.  We are offering leadership opportunities, whether as an older cadet or a leadership role as an instructor or trustee, within a Sea Cadet unit and will involve training, development and leading young people in adventurous activities and community service and events.

Our aim is to be the leading maritime charity for youth development and lifelong learning. To strive to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun. We do this by offering a fantastic cadet experience that inspires young people through fun and adventurous nautical activity to learn and develop new skills that give them a head start in life, and supporting and engaging with our volunteers who are vital to delivering this.

Every week across the UK 14,000 young people get involved in Sea Cadet activities –learning new skills to give them a head start in life, provided by 9,000 volunteers. The groups are for young people aged 10-18. For more information of what’s going on in your local area visit their website.
